OObject cards: This is a set of 60 cards representing objects. My work has been with object, looking at their agency. Human made objects were made to be used by humans, for a certain purpuse, they carry some eternalized qualities of human capabilities and dreams. But also in the shadow of this qualities, hides a certain way the objects captures us. The cards present this two. They sort of give us a ally into the world of things and advise us on what to be careful for.
Drawing cards is a way to clarify your intentions, and engage with the specific response of the oracle; it doesn’t replace making decisions, but it helps clarify along the process. It’s also a delicious way to encounter the fact that we are not in control of everything: by drawing cards and reflecting on the answers, we encounter the unknown in a safer and playful manner. It’s a practice of being with the uncertainties of life, and the cards are a reminder to hold this preciously.
